What is Molded Case Circuit Breaker

2023-12-18

Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB), translated as "molded case circuit breaker" in Chinese, is a commonly used electrical protection device used to protect circuits from overload, short circuit and other faults. MCCB usually consists of electrical thermomagnetic components and mechanical triggering mechanism.

When the circuit is overloaded or short-circuited, MCCB can quickly cut off the circuit to protect the safety of the circuit and equipment. It is generally installed in distribution boxes or power switch cabinets and is suitable for low-voltage circuit and high-voltage circuit protection.

According to different rated currents, MCCB is divided into different levels and is suitable for different electrical equipment and environments. MCCB has the characteristics of small size, light weight, balanced force, long service life, and high reliability. Therefore, it is widely used in power systems, petrochemical industry, construction, transportation and other fields.
